Here are some the tactics used on us by our friendly "neighbor"
in regards to telling us how we can use our property that we pay paid
for and pay tax on. When the first complaint did not satisfy the "neighbor",
he resorted to digging up and manufacturing as many complaints that
he could find. Many of these tactics can be used on you, notwithstanding
the possibility of "more" available tactics if the City imposes
more Ordinances and Restrictions.
1. Napa Municipal Code, Section 8.16.010 D20 - prohibits uses or conditions
which violate the City's Ordinance; and
2. Napa Municipal Code, Section 17.64.080 - prohibits the parking or
storing of anything in the required setback areas.
3. Napa Municipal Code, Section 8.16.010 D19 - Prohibits the leaving
or storage of any garbage can or refuse container in the front or side
yard area for more than 48 hours after collection day, where such cans
or containers are visible from a public street or from adjoining property.
4. Napa Municipal Code, Section 8.16.010 - visual blight
5. Fire Concern
6. Calling Police on a B-Day Celebration that consisted of children
under 11 and adults ranging up to the mid 60's.
7. Threatening to call Police when kids would play and laugh outside.
8. Requesting that no vehicle over the height of a fence (6 feet) be
permitted / allowed to park on "YOUR OWN LAND", unless the
"neighbor" next door gives you permission to do so.
9. These are but just a few of the tactics!
